Of particular interest this month are a wacky ghost feature, an interview with a "cyber-punk" band using the ST to record music, and a potted (and rose-spectacled) history of Atari up to this point. Also, check out the exciting announcements of an Amiga-beating Atari machine in the news and 'Story Time' sections: The Atari ST 'Enhanced'... Oooooh! (How many colours on-screen at once? Mmm...) It is interesting to note that early issues of ST Format contain a lot more general 'computing' content - that is content that does not exclusively relate to the ST. One can only assume that this is because, at this time, the ST was at the fore-front of home computing technology, A concept foreign to me (I received my ST on Christmas 1992, just in time to witness the beginning of it's popular demise!). |
